Goals from Marla Gaudlitz and U’i Kaaihue weren’t enough, as the Redhawks suffered their lone home loss of the 2025 season.

LAST TIME OUT
The Seattle U offense stayed hot in their WCC opener last Saturday, scoring four goals in a shutout win over San Francisco. Four different Redhawks found the back of the net, while Kassidy Kirgan made two saves to earn her second clean sheet of the season.

THE STREAK LIVES ON
The Redhawks remain unbeaten when scoring multiple goals after Saturday’s 4-0 win over San Francisco. Seattle U has outscored its opponents 25-3 across its seven wins this season.

REDHAWKS PICKED 5th IN PRESEASON POLL
The Redhawks were picked fifth in the preseason coaches’ poll entering their second season in the West Coast Conference. Seattle U finished tied for fourth with Gonzaga last season, while U’i Kaaihue was the lone Redhawk selected to the preseason All-WCC Team.

KAAIHUE IN POINTS RACE
Entering the weekend, U’i Kaaihue sits second in the WCC with 17 points, just one behind Santa Clara’s Kennedy Schoennauer. Schoennauer holds the edge in goals, 9-6, but Kaaihue has made up the difference with a 5-0 advantage in assists.

UNSELFISH PLAY
The Redhawks boast the WCC’s top three assist leaders, with Kyla Schuster pacing the conference with seven. U’i Kaaihue and Kailee Wilson are tied for second with five assists apiece.

KIRGAN SOLIDIFYING PLACE IN RECORD BOOK

Kyla Schuster’s seven assists this season lead the WCC and rank seventh nationally. With 17 career assists in 50 games, Schuster is averaging 0.34 assists per game—the second-highest mark in Seattle U’s NCAA Division I history. Only Stephanie Verdoia, who averaged 0.36 assists per game across 80 games, ranks ahead of her.
