SEATTLE — Seattle University men’s soccer fell 3-1 to crosstown rival Washington on Wednesday night at Husky Soccer Stadium.

Seattle U goalkeeper Levi Bieber kept the Redhawks in contention early, recording six saves in the first half as the team faced 11 shots. Seattle U looked to build momentum after the break, generating all four of its shots in the second half.

The Redhawks continued to push forward, but faced a three-goal deficit after conceding in the 74th minute. Seattle U responded late in the match when Alex Notzka found the back of the net in the 88th minute, scoring his 10th goal of the season. Victor Akoum and Nico Wiskel were credited with assists on the play.

The result moves Seattle U to 4-4-3 on the season and concludes their non-conference slate. They will return to WCC play on Saturday as they travel to Los Angeles to face LMU.
