STANFORD, Calif. - The Seattle University women's tennis completed its first tournament of the fall season this week, competing at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Northwest Regionals. Only four Redhawks competed, with senior Daria Nazarenko and freshman Aleksandra Toneva finding success in the back draw.

On the second day of competition, both Nazarenko and Toneva won their matchups, with Nazarenko outlasting Eastern Washington's Aneliss Zamfirescu 6-4, 7-5 (10-7). Toneva had a much more stress-free match, handling her opponent from Santa Clara with ease 6-4, 6-2 for her first official collegiate singles win.

The Redhawks will next compete at the Gonzaga Fall Invitational, hosted by Gonzaga in Spokane, Wash., from October 30 to November 1.
