SEATTLE - The Seattle University men's golf team will be traveling to California this week to compete in the penultimate tournament in their fall season. The Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational will take place October 12-14 at The Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton, Calif.

Competing for the Redhawks will be Kacob Kang, Kevin Li, Burly Hildreth, Elliot Ro and Cade McVicker.

Kang has been the Redhawks' steadiest competitor, with a team-best 71.56 stroke average across nine rounds, along with a top-10 finish at the CDA National Reserve Invitational.

Li looks to continue his dominance among the Seattle University record books, currently holding the top spot for career stroke average at 72.44 across 105 rounds, as well as his 54 career par-or-better rounds only being three away from first all-time. Li also holds the record for career wins with two, including a win at the Nick Watney Invitational last season.

Hildreth has recovered admirably from a rocky start to the season, where he only played one round at the Pan Pacific University Golf Super League Tournament before having to withdraw due to illness. He had his best performance of the season at the Redhawks' last competition, including his season-best round of -1 under, 71.

Ro made a huge statement at his first ever collegiate tournament in Japan, where he shot a best round of -4 under, 67 to come in fourth place. Through three tournaments, he holds Seattle U's second-best stroke average of 71.89.

McVicker has steadily improved across his budding collegiate career, culminating in a top-25 finish at the CDA National Reserve Invitational, including a career-best round of -2 under, 70.

The last time Seattle University competed at a tournament hosted by Pacific was in 2023, where the team placed 10th out of 17 teams. Then-freshman Kevin Li was the Redhawks' top finisher, shooting -5 under, 211 and carded a low round of -4 under, 68.
