SAN BRUNO, Calif. — Seattle University junior forward Alex Notzka has been named the West Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week after a remarkable two-game stretch that saw him score five goals and add an assist.
Notzka delivered the best statistical week of his collegiate career, helping the Redhawks to a pair of victories. He recorded his first collegiate hat trick in a 7-1 win over Cal State Fullerton before following it with two goals and an assist in Seattle U’s 6-1 victory over UC Davis.
The Seattle native entered the week with two goals and five assists in 26 career appearances. His five-goal outburst more than doubled his career goal total while pushing his career point total to 14.
Notzka’s performance also helped propel the Redhawks’ attack early in the 2026 season. Through the opening stretch of the campaign, he has emerged as one of Seattle U’s leading offensive threats, ranking among the WCC’s leaders in goals and points.
The weekly honor marks the first conference player-of-the-week award for Seattle U in 2026.
Notzka and the Redhawks return to action Sunday, Sept. 13, when they travel to Kalamazoo, Michigan, to face Western Michigan. Kickoff is scheduled for 10 a.m. PT.
