ALL-TIME RECORD
This will be the 18th all-time meeting between the Redhawks and Huskies, with Seattle U still searching for its first win in the series. Despite the overall record, the two sides have played to draws in their last three meetings. In 2025, a Bella Bonnett buzzer-beating goal at Championship Field split the points.
LAST TIME OUT
Seattle U picked up a dramatic 3-2 win over Gonzaga on Sunday at Championship Field. U’i Kaaihue and Miyah Suster scored back-to-back goals over a five-minute span to erase an early Bulldog lead, but Gonzaga found the equalizer in the 61st minute. With less than 30 minutes remaining, Leila Leano broke the deadlock in the 87th minute to give the Redhawks the victory.
OFFENSIVE EXPLOSION
After being held scoreless in their first two games of the season, the Redhawks have erupted for 12 goals over their last four matches. Seven different Seattle U players have found the back of the net, while four have recorded at least one assist.
30TH SEASON FOR WOODWARD
The 2026 season marks the 30th year of Head Coach Julie Woodward’s historic career. A Redhawk Hall of Fame inductee, Woodward has compiled a 366-167-72 record at Seattle U, ranking her among the top 60 coaches all-time in NCAA history and 36th among active coaches in career wins. She is also the all-time winningest coach across all sports in Seattle University history.
KAAIHUE NAMED PLAYER OF THE WEEK
After recording two goals and three assists, U’i Kaaihue was named the West Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week. The fifth-year midfielder was also named to TopDrawerSoccer’s Team of the Week. Kaaihue currently leads the WCC with 11 points and ranks second in both goals (4) and assists (3).
SCHUSTER SETS ’EM UP
Kyla Schuster has continued her playmaking ways in 2026, already assisting on four goals this season. That brings her career total to 14 assists, which ranks eighth in the program’s Division I era, dating back to 2009. She sits just one behind teammate and active leader Kailee Wilson.
FRESHMAN ORIENTATION
All five field players from Seattle U’s 2026 freshman class have seen action this season. Miyah Suster has started two games, while Vivien Villarreal has started all six. The pair has also combined for three goals on the season.
REMNET SECURES THIRD WIN
Rachael Remnet has provided a steady presence in goal in the absence of Kassidy Kirgan. The junior secured her third win of the season Sunday, making two saves in the 3-2 victory over Gonzaga. Remnet owns a career goals-against average of 0.642 across seven appearances.
