SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Seattle University men's cross country freshman Jacob Crisman was named West Coast Conference Men's Runner of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
Crisman, a Loveland, Colo., native, was Seattle U’s top finisher at the Mike Johnson Classic on Saturday. Racing in his first collegiate 8k, Crisman placed 22nd overall in a time of 25:41.0. This marks Crisman’s second race as a Redhawk and the second time he has been the team’s top finisher.
In the program's season opener, Crisman debuted with a 18:47.3 time in the 6k race at the Ash Creek Invitational in Monmouth, Ore.
Two regular season meets remain on the Redhawks' schedule, beginning Saturday, Oct. 3 at the Charles Bowles Invitational in Salem, Ore.
