SEATTLE — Seattle University men’s soccer battled Santa Clara to a 0-0 draw Saturday night at Championship Field, with neither side able to find the breakthrough in a tightly contested match.
The Redhawks controlled 52 percent of possession and held Santa Clara without a goal despite the Broncos putting 15 shots toward goal. Seattle U managed seven shots, including one on target, while Santa Clara recorded four shots on frame.
Goalkeeper Levi Bieber anchored the Redhawks defensively, making four saves over 90 minutes to record his second consecutive shutout.
The Redhawks finish the night at 3-3-2 overall and 0-0-1 in conference play. They will be back in conference action next Wednesday, Sep. 30, when they travel to Stockton to face Pacific.
