SEATTLE — Seattle U women's soccer turned a two-goal halftime lead into a convincing 4-1 victory over Central Washington on Sunday at Championship Field.

The Redhawks (5-2-2) broke through in the 21st minute when Kailee Wilson scored her fourth goal of the season. Wilson then added an assist in the 44th minute, setting up Vivien Villarreal as the Redhawks took a 2-0 lead into the break.

Seattle U quickly added to its lead after the break. Myah Polzin headed home a ball in the 52nd minute for her first collegiate goal, making it 3-0.

Just under eight minutes later, Kyla Schuster found the back of the net for her first goal of the season. U'i Kaaihue provided the assist as the Redhawks pushed their advantage to 4-0.

Central Washington got on the board in the 76th minute on a converted penalty kick, but the Redhawks held on for the 4-1 victory.

Seattle U finished with a 31-4 advantage in shots, including a 15-2 edge in shots on target. The Redhawks also held advantages in possession (59-41) and corner kicks (11-2).

Wilson finished with a goal and an assist, while Villarreal led the Redhawks with seven shots. Kaaihue added five shots and an assist, and Schuster, Polzin and Villarreal each scored once.

Goalkeeper Rachael Remnet earned the victory, playing the first 74:36 before Peyton Warns finished the match in goal. Remnet is now 4-0-1 on the year and has allowed three goals in just under 500 minutes of play.

The Redhawks will remain in the state of Washington as they continue their 2026 campaign, traveling to face Washington State in Pullman on Wednesday, Sept. 16. Kickoff between the Redhawks and Cougars is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. PT.
