SAN BRUNO, Calif. — Seattle U women's soccer forward U'i Kaaihue was named the West Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Kaaihue continued her dominant start to the season, helping lead the Redhawks to a pair of home victories over the past week. She recorded a goal and two assists in Thursday's 4-0 win over Nevada before scoring her second Olympico of the season and adding another assist in Sunday's 3-2 victory over Gonzaga.
"U’i is such a special player with an incredible amount of talent," Head Coach Julie Woodward said. "Her production over these past two games helped us get the wins as she was on a different level."
Kaaihue's seven-point week vaulted her to the top of the WCC in scoring with 11 points on the season. She also ranks among the nation's top 10 in points.
"She brings so much energy and love to the game and is so much fun and just a joy to watch," Woodward added. "We’re very proud of her and excited to see what she continues to accomplish this year."
The honor marks back-to-back weeks that Seattle U has claimed the conference's top weekly award, with Kailee Wilson earning the honor last week. The dynamic duo has combined for six goals, four assists and 16 points through the Redhawks' first six matches of the 2026 season.
Kaaihue and the Redhawks return to action Friday, Sept. 4, when they travel to face crosstown rival Washington on Montlake. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. PT.
