This will be the 11th meeting all-time between the Redhawks and Bulldogs, with Seattle U trailing in the series 4-6. The two sides last met in 2025, as SU dropped their one and only meeting as conference foes, 2-3. The Redhawks are 2-2 when hosting in the series.
LAST TIME OUT
The Redhawks picked up their second 4-0 win over a week’s span, this time defeating Nevada at Championship Field on Thursday. Sydney Grundland Lanuza, Vivien Villarreal, U’i Kaaihue, and Evalani Keawekane all scored while Kyla Schuster and Kaaihue assisted on two goals. Rachael Remnet secured her second shutout win in goal this season, making one save.
HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE
Thursday’s win over Nevada extended the Redhawks home unbeaten streak to seven dating back to last season. Seattle U is 14-2-4 at Championship Field since the start of the 2024 season.
30th SEASON FOR WOODWARD
2026 marks the 30th season in the historic career of Head Coach Julie Woodward. The Redhawk Hall-of-Fame inductee has compiled a record of 366-167-72 in her time which ranks top 60 all-time in NCAA history and 36th among active coaches for wins. She is also the all-time wins leader across all sports in Seattle University history.
WILSON NAMED PLAYER OF THE WEEK
After scoring two goals and assisting on another over the weekend, Kailee Wilson was named the West Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week. It is the first time the senior has been named to the conference’s weekly honor.
KAAIHUE OFF TO HOT START
After her one goal and two assist effort on Thursday, U’i Kaaihue has brought her team-leading point total to eight on the young season. She is also tied for the conference lead in the point department with Santa Clara’s Kennedy Schoennauer.
MANY FIRSTS
Three Redhawks have scored their first collegiate goal and/or first in a Seattle U uniform over the past week. Freshman Vivien Villarreal already has two goals this season while sophomore Evalani Keawekane tapped home her first career goal on Thursday. Transfer Sydney Grundland Lanuza also scored in Thursday’s match as well, her first with the program after scoring 15 over two years with City College of San Francisco.
REMNET ON A ROLL
Rachael Remnet picked up her second shutout victory in Thursdays match. In her career she has logged 330 minutes and has posted a 0.272 GA/AVG.
