Honolulu, HI - Seattle U women's soccer is back in action this Saturday, Aug. 15 when they face Texas Tech in Hawai'i. The match, originally scheduled for Sunday, was moved up due to poor weather being forecasted in the area.

LAST TIME OUT
The Redhawks dropped their season opener to Kansas State, 0-4, Thursday night in Hawai'i. Seattle U was outshot 9-14 in the match; with U'i Kaaihue, Kailee Wilson, Kyla Schuster, and Vivien Villarreal all recording two shots each. Kassidy Kirgan made four saves in net despite the loss.
2025 RECAP
Seattle U women's soccer went 10-3-6 last season and posted a 6-3-2 mark in their inaugural season in the West Coast Conference. They finished 4th in the WCC and just five points under conference winner Pepperdine.
PRESEASON HONORS
5th year midfielder U'i Kaaihue was named to the All-WCC Preseason Team. She recorded seven goals and five assists for 19 points last season. The Redhawks overall were selected 5th in the preseason poll but received the only 1st place vote outside of favorite Pepperdine.
FROM HAWAII WITH LOVE
The Redhawks will open the season in the state of Hawaii with two neutral games, taking on Kansas State and Texas Tech (Aug. 16). The Aloha State is well represented on the Seattle U roster with seven student athletes.
30th SEASON FOR WOODWARD
The 2026 season marks the 30th in the historic career of Head Coach Julie Woodward. Her record of 366-166-71 ranks top 70 all-time amongst NCAA coaches at any level and she ranks top 40 for active coaches in the nation. She has eight NCAA appearances between Division I and II.
