LEXINGTON, Ky. - Seattle University volleyball was honored by the American Volleyball Coaches Association with an academic team award for its dedication to classroom success through the maintenance of at least a 3.3 GPA over the duration of the academic year.
The Redhawks are one of 1,432 collegiate and high school teams to receive the distinction this year, returning to the list of honorees for the first time since 2014. The award is just the second in program history.
Seattle U held back to back quarters above a 3.7 GPA while also placing three student athletes on the All-Academic All-WCC team in Elif Teksoy, Marley Hardgrave and Grace Jones. A pair of Redhawks landed on the CSC All-Academic All-District team in Madyn Cervellera and Teagan Melton.
