KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the ninth consecutive year, Seattle University men's basketball has earned the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Award. In addition, four Redhawks were named to the NABC Honors Court.
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize men's basketball programs that completed the 2025-26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court, includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2025-26 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
The Redhawks compiled a 3.25 team GPA for the 2025-26 academic year, including a 3.52 team GPA during the fall quarter. Seattle U was one of five West Coast Conference programs to make the list.
John Christofilis, Brayden Maldonado, Jojo Murphy and JT White all took home the Honors Court recognition. This marked a third straight honor for Christofilis while Maldonado earned the honor for a second straight year. Murphy and White were first-time honorees.
This marks the eighth consecutive year that multiple Redhawks have been named to the NABC Honors Court.
