SEATTLE – For the eighth consecutive term, Seattle University student athletes achieved a 3.4 term grade point average, finishing the 2026 SPring Quarter with a collective 3.40 GPA.
This also marks the 19th consecutive term that the collective Redhawk student athlete population has recorded above a 3.30 GPA.
Each of the Redhawks' 17 teams earned above a 3.0 GPA. Women's soccer led the way with a 3.77 team GPA. Women's tennis (3.73) and volleyball (3.72) volleyed closely to round out teams earning better than a 3.70 team GPA.
Eight total teams finished at a 3.5 or above. Along with the top three, that group also includes women's basketball (3.66), women's cross country (3.59), women's swimming (3.57), women's track & field (3.55) and men's golf (3.50).
Women's golf (3.44), softball (3.40), rowing (3.38), men's soccer (3.23), baseball (3.20), men's cross country (3.16), men's swimming (3.15), men's track & field (3.12) and men's basketball (3.08) also all finished the year strong.
One hundred and fifty-eight student athletes (56%) made the Dean's List (3.5+), while 82 made the President's List holding a 3.9 GPA or higher and 64 total Redhawks earned a 4.0.
At the undergraduate level, student athletes continue to outperform non-athlete students with a spring term GPA of 3.40 versus 3.31 for the general student body. For the entire 2025-26 academic year student athletes achieved a 3.437 GPA while the general student body finished with a 3.346 GPA.
