SEATTLE - Three members of the Seattle University women's golf team were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District At-Large Team, announced Tuesday. The Redhawks honored were Melissa Gilloz, Jeanne Padillo and Tsara Ralamboarison.
Sophomore Melissa Gilloz is earning her second academic award of both her career and the season, having been awarded Academic All-West Coast Conference honorable mention this may.
It's a similar story for fellow sophomore Jeanne Padillo, having been named Academic All-WCC this season, making this also her second-career academic award.
Senior Tsara Ralamboarison has quite the academic resume, also receiving Academic All-WCC honorable mention honors in 2026. In addition, she earned a grand total of three academic awards in the 2023-24 season, including another CSC Academic All-District award, being named Academic All-Western Athletic Conference, and also being named a Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar.
In order to be egligible for this award, student athletes must have at least a 3.50 GPA while being at least a sophomore in academic standing. They must also compete in at least 75% of their team's scored competitions, or have been on the lineup for the conference championship roster.
