Since then, the pair have only ever met on a neutral field, last playing one another in Palm Springs in 2022. The Toreros have won three of the last five dating back to 2016.

The Toreros snapped a four game losing streak, taking game two against Pacific before the Tigers claimed the series on Sunday. San Diego moved to 4-11 in league contests and 3-13 in road games. The Toreros are 10-15 at home this season and are looking for their first series win since early April.

SU concludes its first trip through the West Coast Conference this weekend against San Diego.
