BELLEVUE, WA - Seattle U baseball knocked off their crosstown rivals Washington, 4-3, Tuesday afternoon at Bannerwood Park. Scoring was contained to the first two innings of play, as the Redhawks got the better of the pitcher’s duel.
Royce Hale, Ryder Manale, and Tyler Jackson all had RBIs in the bottom of the first, with Jackson's 2-RBI single driving in the would be game-winning run. Outside of the 1st, the Redhawks were held to zero runs on six hits.

The Huskies would respond with three runs of their own in the top of the 2nd but were turned away by the SU arms for the remainder of the game.
Jake Morell made the start on the mound, going two innings while giving up three earned on three hits in a no-decision effort. Isaac Hallam (2-3) was credited with the win after pitching the next three innings, all scoreless with four strikeouts. Ryan Stone also tossed three scoreless, while Luke Alwood picked up his second save in a row as he closed out the 9th.
The victory moved the Redhawks to 17-25 overall and gave them the season series win over the Huskies. It is the first time since 2017 that Seattle U has won the season series with their crosstown rivals.
