SEATTLE - Seattle University women’s rowing capped off its regular season at the Windermere Cup and Twilight Sprints, fielding its varsity eight, second varsity eight and varsity four over the duration of the weekend.
Prior to opening day, the Redhawks took their varsity eight to race at the Twilight Sprints on Friday evening where they took on Washington and Seattle Pacific. Seattle clocked a 2:03.9 in the sprint for a fourth place finish.
On Saturday, SU’s varsity four kickstarted the day, finishing at 9:01.827 against the Huskies boats to claim third. Seattle U’s second varsity eight took on both Washington and conference opponent Gonzaga, claiming third behind a 7:23.19. The Redhawks ended the day with their varsity eight, clocking a 7:21.006.
Seattle U returns to action for the WCC Championships in California in two weeks from May 15-16 on Lake Natoma.
