SEATTLE - The Seattle University women's tennis team made another critical add this week, signing incoming freshman Constanca Catalao from Lisbon, Portugal.
Catalao has found significant success across her career in international tournaments, starting with winning the Portugal National Championship in U12 mixed doubles. She followed that up by helping her club team, Clube de Tenis do Jamor, win the U14 national team championship, as well as winning the U14 doubles competition at the Tennis Europe Vilamoura Tournament.
Her accomplishments continued into high school, winning doubles in the U16 Tennis Europe Coimbra as well as being the national semifinalist that same year for her age bracket. Catalao also found success in mixed doubles that season, becoming the national champion in the U16 category.
