SEATTLE - Seattle University women's tennis made a big add from the transfer portal this week, securing Montserrat Sierra, previously of the University of Dayton.

Sierra is an accomplished collegiate tennis player, earning eight singles and eight doubles wins in her senior season at Dayton, as well as having over nine wins against Universal Tennis Rating ranked opponents.

Originally from Mexico City, Mexico, Sierra will be a strong addition to the Redhawks' academically inclined team, having received academic honors in each of her past three collegiate seasons. This includes being named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll for the 2024-25 season, being named to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic team twice, and also being named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team just this past season.

This is the graduate student's third school of her collegiate career, spending her first two seasons at Miami University and her past two at Dayton before heading west to finish out her collegiate career.
