SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Seattle University softball took home eight all-conference recognitions among seven Redhawks after its first season in the West Coast Conference, with junior Avari Morris headlining the group with All-WCC first team selection, as announced by the league this afternoon.

Morris was a pivotal piece to the Redhawk offense all season long, while ranking amongst the best in the league in SU’s inaugural season in the WCC. She finished the 2026 season with 73 hits, a mark that ranks tied-third in program history for hits in a single season. Her .417 batting average was third in the conference and also marked the second straight season that she batted over .400. The dual-threat finished tied-second in the WCC in hits, second in runs scored, fifth in doubles and third in OBP.

From inside the pitcher’s circle, Morris paced the team and ranked sixth in the conference in strikeouts, handing out 70 on the year for a new career season high. Her 5.87 strikeouts per seven innings was top-five in the WCC. Morris pitched a new career high 84.1 innings in 22 appearances.

Freshman Kaia Galaviz secured two nods from the conference in her debut collegiate season, taking home spots on the All-WCC freshman and honorable mention teams. Galaviz led the team from the circle in ERA, ranking seventh in the conference. In 24 appearances and 12 starts, Galaviz pitched 74.2 innings and logged 53 strikeouts. Her 4.97 strikeouts per seven innings was seventh in the WCC this season.

Both Morris and Galaviz earned a weekly award from the WCC this season, with Galaviz taking home a pitcher of the week selection and Morris locking up a player of the week nod.

Seniors Taylor Fitch and Ava Sin each earned spots on the All-WCC second team, making it the third straight all-conference postseason selection for Fitch. Fitch and Sin both made their way into the record books during their senior campaigns, with Fitch tying third for home runs in a single season and Sin tying the program record for doubles in a single season.

Fitch ranked top-10 in the league in batting average on the season, while securing new career season highs in home runs and runs scored. Her 13 homers ranked third in the WCC and her 41 runs was fourth in the conference. The third baseman also logged a new career season high in RBI, ranking fourth in the WCC with 52 RBIs this year. Her 88 assists also ranked top-10 in the league this year.

Sin enjoyed a breakout season in her return to the field, securing season highs in hits, doubles, runs, home runs, RBIs, batting average and slugging percentage. The designated hitter/catcher ranked seventh in the WCC in batting average, securing the seventh most hits this season (57). Her program record tying 20 doubles led the conference by three and ranked tied-eighth in the nation. Sin finished top-10 in the CC in home runs and runs, while finishing fifth in RBI.

A trio of juniors joined Galaviz on the WCC’s honorable mention list, with Karen Spadafora, Berkley Vance and Mikee Morris each earning nods from the conference. Spadafora ranked eighth in the conference in home runs and tenth in RBIs, while ranking sixth defensively with 196 putouts on the year.

Vance led the team and ranked seventh in innings pitched with 105.1 on the year. She made 26 appearances and garnered 18 starts. Vance matched Galaviz with 53 strikeouts, ranking inside the top-15 in the conference in strikeouts per seven innings (3.52). The junior pitcher also recorded her first collegiate hits this season, logging two, which were both doubles, in five at bats.

Mikee Morris appeared in 27 games this season and still proved an important addition to one of the best offenses in the WCC. She recorded 36 hits and ranked just outside of the conference’s top-25 in runs scored with 24. Morris was tenth in the conference in home runs despite limited action, recording six. The short stop also ranked 11th in triples with two.

The Redhawks batted .307 as a team, which is now fourth best in program history. They combined for 443 hits to tie 2018 for sixth most in a single season. SU ranked first in the conference with 84 doubles, besting second by 11 while claiming third highest for doubles in a single season. Seattle U ended the 2026 regular season ranking 48th in the nation for doubles, while ranking 35th in the country for doubles per game (1.71).

The Redhawks also ranked second in the WCC in home runs with 42, besting last year’s squad total by one to claim second all time. They ended the regular season with the most RBIs of the seven WCC teams, recording 266, the now fourth most in a single season in program history.

Seattle U claimed three weekly awards on the season (Fitch, Avari Morris and Galaviz), while tying Santa Clara with the fourth most post-season awards with eight. Mikee Morris, Fitch, Spadafora and Vance all earned postseason nods after capturing the All-WCC preseason recognition at the start of the season.
