BELLEVUE, WA - Seattle U baseball defeated British Columbia, 12-3, Tuesday afternoon at Bannerwood Park. After trailing through six innings of play, the Redhawk bats exploded for 12 runs over the next two innings to secure the win.
Seattle U scored six runs in both the 7th an 8th inning after trailing by three. Payton Knowles, Jake Beauchaine, and Hayden Carlson all drove in two runs while a 3-run home run by Tyler Horner in the 8th put him in the team lead on the day.
Kaden Alberghini (1-1) picked up his first win of the year after pitching just 0.1 innings. Camden Oram went 2.0 innings and did not allow an earned run in the start.
The victory moves the Redhawks to 9-19 on the season and to 5-7 in home games They will return to conference play this weekend when they welcome Loyola Marymount to Bannerwood for a 3-game series starting Friday, April 10.
