Farrell Named Pitcher of the WeekFarrell Named Pitcher of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Travis Farrell has been named the Rawlings West Coast Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday. The righty becomes the second Redhawk arm to be named to the weekly honor this season.

“Farrell has been a workhorse for us ever since he has shown up on campus," Head Coach Donny Harrel said. "This past performance was dominant against a very good team, and he would not let me take the ball out of his hand. His true grit got us through the complete game, and this award is truly deserved.”

The right-handed pitcher from Las Vegas, NV, set a new collegiate career high when he went all nine innings in a win over Portland on Thursday, April 2. He allowed just one run and struck out 10 Pilots to also secure the first victory in a Redhawk uniform for the Redshirt Senior.

Farrell also became the third Redhawk to toss a complete game in the modern era (2010-Pres.), joining Nestor German (5/28/21) and Jake Prizina (2/15/19). He is the second Redhawk to be named to the weekly honor this season, with Kale Hammer winning for the week of March 16-22.
