SEATTLE - The Seattle University women's tennis team wrapped up their final homestand of the season with senior day versus Pacific on Saturday. After a ceremony honoring the graduating seniors Natalia Michta, Larissa Teramura and Lola Tavcar, all three players went on to win their doubles matches, with Teramura and Tavcar adding wins in their singles matches.

Michta will be graduating this spring with a degree in Psychology, and has racked up quite a few awards in her two years as a Redhawk, including being named to the All-Western Athletic Conference Doubles Second team as a junior, and has been named a conference Doubles Player of the Week twice, once last year in the WAC, and once this year as part of the West Coast Conference. Against Pacific, she and partner Lamija Avdic dispatched their opponents 6-2, going undefeated in doubles for the week. Michta put up a good fight in singles, losing in three rounds 6-2, 4-6, 2-6.

Teramura also spent two years at Seattle U, and has won an academic award every year of her collegiate career, including being named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Scholar Athlete as a junior. She will graduate this spring with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. She and fellow senior Lola Tavcar helped clinch the doubles point for the Redhawks with a 6-4 victory, and on top of that Teramura put on a convincing show in singles, dispatching her opponent 6-2, 6-2 in her final competition in Seattle.

Tavcar is the only senior to spend her entire collegiate career at Seattle University, and across that time has racked up three Doubles Player of the Week accolades, two as a sophomore and one as a junior. She has also earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors as a sophomore and was also named an ITA All-Scholar athlete as a junior. She will be graduating with a degree in Political Science. Along with her doubles win with Teramura, Tavcar also excelled in singles on Saturday, defeating her Tigers' opponent 6-2, 7-5.

These would account for the entirety of Seattle University's points as the Redhawks fell to the Tigers, 4-3.

Earlier in the week, the Redhawks faced St. Mary's, where they fell 4-2 despite an undefeated effort by Michta and Lamija Avdic.

The pair beat the Gaels' top duo 6-3 in singles, and only continued to dominate throughout the match. Avdic beat her top-seeded opponent in two sets 6-3, 6-3, and Michta defeated St. Mary's second seed 6-2, 2-0.

Up next, the Redhawks will travel east over the pass for an Eastern Washington road trip, facing Washington State on April 11 in Pullman, Wash., and Gonzaga April 12 in Spokane, Wash.
