REDHAWK HEADLINES:

SERIES HISTORY

The Redhawks are 6-14 in the all-time series with Saint Mary’s, with their first meeting dating back to the 2010 season. The two sides last met in 2024, with the Redhawks 1-of-3 in a home series.

REDHAWKS SWEPT BY WAVES

Seattle U’s run of three straight conference series wins was snapped last weekend when they were swept by Pepperdine at Bannerwood Park. It was just the second time this season that the Redhawks dropped a WCC series.

HARREL REACHES 500

With Saturday’s win over San Diego, Head Coach Donny Harrel secured his 350th win at the helm of the Redhawk program. The victory was his 570th as a head coach, spanning seven years at Lane Community College and Seattle U.

FINAL TRIP TO CALIFORNIA

The Redhawks are set to make their final trip to California this season, where they hold a 4-13 record. Seattle U will play all their regular season games between the states of Washington and California.

OFFENSE COOLS OFF

The Redhawk offense cooled off in their series loss to Pepperdine, hitting .216. Six Redhawks recorded and RBI over the weekend, with Josh Cunnigan and Payton Knowles being the only two with multiple runs batted in. In contrast, Seattle U hit .362 as a team during the San Diego series with 29 runs batted in.

SMITH ON LOCKDOWN

Blake Smith tossed four shutout innings in two appearances over the weekend. The senior has made a team-high 19 appearances on the year while leading the team in era at 4.11.

CARLSON GOES YARD

Hayden Carlson launched his second collegiate home run, and first in a Redhawk uniform in Saturday’s game vs Pepperdine. It was also the third extra base hit of the season for the junior.

FARRELL CONTINUES THE QUALITY

Travis Farrell has had a quality outing in four straight games and in five of his last six. In those games he has gone 33.1 innings while allowing eight earned for a 2.16 ERA.
