BELLEVUE, WA - Behind a complete outing from Travis Farrell, Seattle U baseball knocked off I-5 rival Portland, 5-1, Thursday night at Bannerwood Park.
Farrell (1-4), a right-handed pitcher from Las Vegas, set a new collegiate career-high when he went nine innings while allowing just one run. He also struck out 10 Pilots on the way to his first win in a Redhawk uniform. He also set a modern Redhawk program record, throwing 130 pitches in a single game.

The victory moves the Redhawks to 7-18 overall and to 3-4 in WCC play. They also extended their home winning streak over Portland to three, dating back to the 2022 season.
Seattle U will look to secure their second conference series of 2026 in game two with the Pilots tomorrow. Kale Hammer is scheduled to make the start on the mound with a 2:00pm PT first pitch.
