SEATTLE - In Seattle University's first year back in the West Coast Conference, women's tennis is well-represented in the WCC Women's Tennis All-Academic team. Lola Tavcar and Daria Nazarenko were named to the 12-member team, while Natalia Michta and Larissa Teramura were named honorable mention.

Nazarenko, a junior from Omsk, Russia, is majoring in psychology and was an Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Scholar Athlete last year.

Tavcar, a senior from Vienna, Austria, is majoring in political science and was also an ITA All-Scholar Athlete last year, along with being named to the College Sports Communicators All-District team in her sophomore year.

Larissa Teramura, a senior from Kailua, Hawai'i, is majoring in mechanical engineering. She was a Big West All-Academic and UC Irvine Scholar Athlete both her freshman an sophomore year at UC Irvine. Last year at Seattle U, she was named an ITA All-Scholar Athlete.

Natalia Michta, a senior from Krakow, Poland, is majoring in psychology and was also named an ITA All-Scholar athlete in her junior year. 

In order to qualify for this honor, student athletes must have at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA, be at least a sophomore with at least one year of residence at their academic institution, and compete in at least 50% of their institution's contests.
