PORTLAND, Ore. - The Seattle University women's tennis team concluded its final duel of the season this Saturday, facing off against the Portland Pilots in Portland, Ore.
In her final collegiate match, senior Lola Tavcar shined, coming back from losing a point in the first set to dominate her opponent 1-6, 6-3, 6-0. Fellow senior Larissa Teramura was also making a strong showing, winning her second set 6-2 and going up in the third before the match was ended.
Lamija Avdic continued her strong season, despite a close-fought doubles loss. She took out Portland's top seeded player in singles 6-3, 7-5 for her team-leading fifth singles win of the season.
Despite Tavcar and Avdic's contribution, the Redhawks fell to the Pilots 4-2, concluding their first season of West Coast Conference play.
