BELLEVUE, WA - Seattle U baseball captured the series win over Loyola Marymount as they took game two of their series, 8-6, Saturday afternoon at Bannerwood Park.

For the second straight game, Ryder Manale launched a home run over the right field wall, this time a 3-run bast in the 2nd inning. Payton Knowles would also get into the action with a 2-run home run of his own just a couple at bats later as the Redhawks jumped out to an early five run lead.

The Lions would respond with 5-unanswered runs of their own over the next five innings to tie the game. Manale would then be called upon again, sending an RBI single up the middle to reclaim the lead in the bottom of the 7th. Royce Hale and Jake Beauchaine would both pick up RBIs in the 8th to add insurance.

After Kale Hammer went six innings while allowing just three earned and Luke Alwood went 1.2 with one earned, Ryan Stone (2-1) was called on to close the game. The righty would finish off the 8th, before allowing just one run in the 9th to secure his second victory of the year.

The win moved the Redhawks to 11-19 and gave them their 5th win in the last six games. It also gave them their third conference series win, moving them to 6-5 in the WCC. They will have a chance to sweep for the first time in their new conference in tomorrow’s game three, with Micah Hagler scheduled to start.
