QUICK HITS
- Seattle U closed out the regular season on a three-game win streak, completing the season sweep of West Coast Conference foe LMU with a 71-66 win in Los Angeles on Saturday, Feb. 28.
- The win marked the Redhawks’ second straight WCC road win.
- The road win gave Seattle U five road wins this season, the most for the program since winning six during the 2022-23 season.
- The win at LMU moved the Redhawks to 19-12 on the season and 8-10 in WCC play, good for a three-way tie for fifth place in the regular season standings.
- Seattle U is now one win away from a fourth 20-win season in the last five years. The three straight 20-win seasons from 2022-24 had not been done since 1957-59 and now a fourth in five years would date back to the same time frame as the feat last occurred from 1955-59.
- Brayden Maldonado returned from a three-game injury absence to pour in a career-high 33 points at LMU. He shot 9-17 from the field, including six threes and 9-12 free throws.
- Joining Maldonado in double figures was Will Heimbrodt with 11 points. Heimbrodt added three blocks, bringing his season total to 78. He is now one block away from tying Seattle U’s single-season record for blocks.
CHASING 100
- The win at LMU marked Head Coach Chris Victor’s 99th win (99-65) at Seattle U. A 100th win would make him just the fourth coach in program history to do so.
- Victor would join Al Brightman (1949-56) who reached 100 wins in 152 games, Joe Callero (2002-09) who reached 100 wins in 189 games and Cameron Dollar (2010-17) who reached 100 wins in 228 games.
- Victor now has 202 wins for his career as a head coach, which also includes six seasons (103 wins) at Citrus College in California.

- The teams have never met on a neutral court.
- The series history dates back to 1953, though the bulk of the meetings came during the 1970s when both teams were members of the West Coast Athletic Conference (now WCC).
ABOUT THE SERIES VS USD
- Seattle U and San Diego have just three all-time meetings with USD leading 2-1.
- The Redhawks won the lone regular-season meeting between the two teams, 75-64, in Seattle.
- The Redhawks had four score in double figures in that win, including Junseok Yeo (18), Brayden Maldonado (16), John Christofilis (11) and Will Heimbrodt (10).
- San Diego won the two previous meetings, both during the 1979-80 season when both universities were members of the West Coast Athletic Conference (now WCC).
- That season was the Toreros first in the conference and Seattle U’s last.
