SEATTLE – For the seventh consecutive term, Seattle University student athletes achieved over a 3.4 term grade point average, finishing the 2026 Winter Quarter with a collective 3.44 GPA.
This also marks the 18th consecutive term that the collective Redhawk student athlete population has recorded above a 3.30 GPA.
Each of the Redhawks' 17 teams earned above a 3.1 GPA. Women's tennis led the way with a 3.80 team GPA. Volleyball (3.76), women's swimming (3.68) and women's golf (3.67) followed closely.
Nine total teams finished above a 3.5. Along with the top four, the list also includes women's soccer (3.58), men's golf (3.58), women's cross country (3.55), softball (3.54) and women's basketball (3.52).
Rowing (3.42), men's swimming (3.33), baseball (3.32), men's soccer (3.25), men's cross country (3.22), men's basketball (3.15), women's track & field (3.12) and men's track & field (3.11) also all finished strong.
163 student athletes (57%) made the Dean's List (3.5+), while 90 made the President's List holding a 3.9 GPA or higher and 43 Redhawks earned a 4.0.
At the undergraduate level, student athletes continue to outperform non-athlete students with a winter term GPA of 3.44 versus 3.32.
