SAN BRUNO, Calif. Will Heimbrodt was named West Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Year while Brayden Maldonado and Junseok Yeo earned All-WCC honors as the league announced the 2025-26 Men’s Basketball All-Conference Team and Major Awards, as voted on by the league’s head coaches.

Maldonado earned All-WCC Second Team and Yeo was an All-WCC Honorable Mention selection.

Heimbrodt has been among the nation’s top shot blockers all season long. He leads all WCC players with 44 blocks in 18 conference games (2.4 per game). During WCC play, Heimbrodt also ranks 10th in rebounds (5.7 per game) and 14th in steals (1.2 per game.). The redshirt sophomore from San Anselmo, Calif., has 78 season blocks headed into the postseason and sits two away from becoming Seattle U’s all-time leader in single-season blocks.

Maldonado earns his first all-conference honor since being named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year in 2023 while playing for MSU Denver. His stellar senior season has included leading the Redhawks in scoring, including 13.9 ppg in WCC play, and surpassing 20 points six times, most recently with a 33-point outburst in the regular-season finale at LMU. In WCC play he averaged 2.6 three pointers per game, third best among all players, while also adding 2.8 assists per game.

In his first season at Seattle U, Yeo earns his first all-conference honor. He averaged 11.7 points and 3.8 rebounds during the WCC’s 18-game slate. He had a pair of 20-point games this season, both coming against Saint Mary’s. His 24 points, including six threes, in Moraga, Calif., stands as his career high. Yeo also recorded his first career double-double – a 17-point, 12-rebound effort at Santa Clara.

The Redhawks finished the regular season at 19-12 overall and 8-10 in WCC play, good for a tie for fifth place. Earning the seventh seed in the 2026 Credit Union 1 West Coast Conference Championship, Seattle U will open play on Friday, March 6 at 8:30 p.m. against the winner of Thursday’s opening round match-up between 10th-seed LMU and 11th-seed San Diego.
