REDHAWK HEADLINES:

SERIES HISTORY
This will be just the second time that the Redhawks and Dons have met on the diamond. Their first meeting came in 2024 where Seattle U fell on the road, 1-13.

FIRST WCC SERIES WIN
The Redhawks secured their first win and series win in their new conference as they took 2-of-3 from Pacific over the weekend. After dropping game one, the Redhawks won back-to-back to pick up two program milestones.

HAMMER NAMED PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Left-handed pitcher Kale Hammer was named the Rawlings West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week. The sophomore guided the Redhawks to their first WCC win after going 7.2 IP while allowing no earned runs and striking out eight on Saturday. It was the first collegiate win for Hammer as well.

NEW SEASON. NEW CONFERENCE.
2026 will mark the first season for Seattle U baseball in the West Coast Conference. The last 13 years were spent in the Western Athletic Conference where SU compiled a record of 148-177. The Redhawks captured the 2016 WAC Regular Season Championship behind a stellar season from Tarik Skubal (6-1, 2.11 ERA).

STARTERS SHINE IN STOCKTON
Travis Farrell, Kale Hammer, and Micah Hagler combined to go 2-0 and allowed just three earned runs over three starts vs Pacific. Farrell and Hammer did not allow an earned run and both had their longest outings of the season.

KOMINE AND KNOWLES DOMINATE
Hunter Komine and Payton Knowles both went 7-for-14 in the series with Pacific and had a combined five runs batted in. Komine had three hits in both Redhawk victories, while Knowles was a perfect 5-for-5 in the series finale.

CUNNIGAN SETS NEW CAREER BESTS
Josh Cunnigan had a career day in Sunday’s game vs Pacific. The sophomore went 3-for-6 with two doubles and five runs batted in. That set new single-game career-highs in hits, doubles, and RBI for the backstop. He is currently tied with Tyler Horner for the team lead in RBI with 13 this season.
