SEATTLE - Redshirt senior Tamia Stricklin and sophomore Sydnie Rodriguez picked up nods to the College Sports Communicators All-Academic All-District team for Seattle University women’s basketball in recognition of their academic and athletic excellence this season. The duo also represented the Redhawks on the All-Academic All-West Coast Conference team this season.
To be recognized and eligible, a student-athlete must appear and/or start in over half of a team’s contests while holding a 3.5 GPA or higher over the duration of the most recently completed semester/quarter of work.
Stricklin started in 29 games this season, averaging a new career best 10.4 points per game. She combined for new collegiate highs in points scored (303), field goals made (113), triples made (35), rebounds (152), assists (53) and blocks (9).
Rodriguez competed in 23 games, earning the start in 22. She saw new career highs on the season, averaging 6.1 points per game. She scored 140 points on the year, combining for 43 made field goals. The Boise native shot a new career high 85.7 percent from the free throw line, aiding in SU’s conference leading free throw percentage this season. Her 113 rebounds was a new career high.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women’s Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women’s basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
