SEATTLE – Sophomore center Austin Maurer has been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, as announced by the organization Tuesday. The teams are selected by CSC members and recognize the nation’s top student athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Maurer had a standout first season with the Redhawks, appearing in all 35 games with 25 starts. He finished fourth on the team in scoring at 7.2 ppg and was second in rebounds with 4.7 per game. The 7-foot, Medford, Ore., native shot better than 52% from the field and 72% from the free-throw line. He scored in double figures 10 times, earned his first career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds in a win at UTSA on Dec. 22, and poured in a career-high 19 points in Seattle U’s Dec. 19 win over crosstown rival Washington.
In the classroom, Maurer is a Business and Economics pre-major.
To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District Team student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and compete in 90% of games played during the 2025-26 season.
