BELLEVUE, WA - Seattle U baseball dropped their 2026 home opener to Holy Cross, 1-11, Friday night at Bannerwood Park. 

The Redhawks were held to one run on four hits, with a Payton Knowles driving in the lone run on an RBI double in the 6th. 

Travis Farrell (0-2) was credited with the loss after allowing two earned on six hits. Despite the loss, Farrell did record 10 strikeouts which is good for 4th all-time in a single game in program history. 

The loss drops Seattle U to 1-8 on the season. They will look to even the series with the Crusaders in game 2 tomorrow, Feb. 28. Kale Hammer is slated to get the start on the mound with a 1:00pm PT first pitch.
