RIVERSIDE, CA - Seattle U baseball fell in game two of their series with California Baptist, 0-5, Friday night at James W. Totman Stadium.

“Got dominated by their pitching staff and 16 strikeouts offensively will not generate runs for any club," Head Coach Donny Harrel said post-game. "We have to start putting more balls in play off good pitching."

The game was a one of missed opportunities for the Redhawks, who left the bases loaded in the first two innings and left nine on in total. SU was held off the scoreboard for the first time this season.

Travis Farrell (0-1) was credited with the loss on the mound. In his first start of the season the righty went 4.0 IP and allowed five earned on eight hits. Jake Morell and Blake Smith continued the solid bullpen performance for the Redhawks early in the season, as neither allowed a run over the final four innings of play.

“Very happy how we competed on the mound tonight and the defense was good," Harrel added of his staff.

Seattle U drops to 0-5 to start the season and will continue their quest for win number one in game three tomorrow, Feb. 21. First pitch from Riverside is scheduled for 5:00pm PT and Kale Hammer is set to make the start.
