SAN MATEO, Calif. - After an undefeated weekend in doubles, Lamija Avdic and Natalia Michta have been named the West Coast Conference Doubles Players of the Week. They are the first Redhawks to receive Player of the Week honors in tennis in the WCC.
This is the pair's second time winning Doubles Players of the Week together, having also earned Western Athletic Conference honors in April of 2025. Avdic has also won Doubles Player of the Week in March of 2024, and Player of the Week in March 2025.
The pair earned impressive doubles victories last weekend, dominating UC Riverside's top pair 6-2, and dispatching Oregon, 7-5. They are now a perfect 4-0 in doubles matches in 2026.
Avdic and Michta will look to continue their undefeated streak this weekend when they face Lewis-Clark State College February 20 in Lewiston, Idaho. The Redhawks will then head to Cheney, Wash., to compete with Eastern Washington on February 21.
