FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The Seattle University women's tennis team opened spring play with back-to-back matches in Colorado, starting at Denver University on January 23, falling to the Pioneers 6-1, and finishing against Colorado State on January 24 with a 4-1 loss.
Natalia Michta and Lamija Avdic went undefeated in doubles across the two matches, downing Denver 6-4 and Colorado State 6-2. Unfortunately, they were the only Redhawk pair to get a doubles win in either match.
Michta also excelled on the singles front, winning her match in Denver 3-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-7). The only other Redhawk to find success was Lola Tavcar, who won her matchup against Colorado State 6-4, 6-4.
The Redhawks next head down to Eugene, Ore., for two matches, facing off with the University of Oregon on February 14, and UC Riverside February 15.
