SEATTLE - Seattle U women's tennis has made another addition to their incoming class for the fall of 2026, inking Aleksandra Toneva from Stara Zagora, Bulgaria.
Toneva has spent much of her career competing in Norway, where she has competed well in a variety of tournaments, notably finishing in third place in the Norwegian Indoors Senior Championship. She was also a quarterfinalist in both the indoors and outdoors Norwegian Junior Championship.
Toneva reached the podium in multiple Norwegian Grand Prix, earning third place in Grand Prix Mjøndalen, and finishing in second in both Grand Prix Kristiansand and Grand Prix Stavanger.
"We're excited to welcome Aleksandra to the Redhawk family," said head coach Kristina Hollander. "She's a fierce competitor who will have an immediate impact in both singles and doubles, and I couldn't be happier to have her join us. She'll be a tremendous addition to our program."
