SEATTLE - Seattle University women's tennis has welcomed a new Redhawk this week, signing Kristina Vasileva from Sofia, Bulgaria. Vasileva will join the team as a freshman in the 2026-27 season.
Vasileva has found much success at the national level in her homeland, reaching second place in the Bulgaria's U18 National Rankings for 2025-26, and claiming the U18 Doubles National Championship as well. She has also seen success on the international level, having made five doubles semifinal appearances in ITF tournaments.
"We are thrilled to welcome Kristina to the Redhawk family," said head coach Kristina Hollander. "She brings great energy and maturity, and her tennis game will be a strong addition to the lineup. We're excited to have her on our team as we continue taking our program in the right direction."
