SEATTLE - Headlined by stout preseason competition, a home tournament and six new conference opponents, Seattle University softball officially revealed its schedule for the upcoming 2026 season.

“Looking forward to a competitive season with a lot of great opponents and opportunities ahead of us, especially joining a new conference. We can’t wait to get started,” head coach Geoff Hirai said.

SU will be put to the test early and often, facing four tournament teams from a season ago, two of which moved on to the Super Regional in 2025. The competitive field expands into conference play, with the West Coast Conference’s 2025 NCAA Tournament representative Santa Clara making its way to Seattle later in the season.

The Redhawks spend the first month of competition out on the road, traveling to four tournaments from the start of February until their first home event in early March. SU debuts at the Paradise Classic, jetting off to Hawai’i from February 5-7 and opening the year against North Dakota.

The following weekend sees the Redhawks in the desert, competing against UNLV, UC Davis and Quinnipiac at the UNLV Desert Classic February 13-15.

For the third straight season, the Redhawks take their game to the renowned Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic. Over the three day stretch in Palm Springs, Seattle U takes on a plethora of Big Ten competition while revisiting some familiar California faces. The Redhawks open the weekend against former WAC foe California Baptist before capping the long weekend against Nebraska and Rutgers.

Wrapping the tournament road trips in the early season, Seattle U concludes its travel heavy slate with a trip back to Southern California for the Judy Garman Classic hosted by CSU Fullerton. The Redhawks open the weekend against BYU before facing California, East Texas A&M, UCLA and host Fullerton. The Bruins come off a College World Series appearance in 2025.

A highlighted feature to the home season slate is a three day tournament at Logan Field following an inter-city battle with Washington. SU hosts Montana and NC Central March 6-8. The Redhawks follow up their home tournament with a three game series against Sacramento State at Logan Field.

Trips to Idaho State and Montana round out the non-conference at the end of March before the Redhawks make their debut in the WCC against Pacific April 2-4. Oregon State and San Diego will also host SU this season.

The Redhawks welcome Saint Mary’s for their first WCC home series April 10-12 while also hosting LMU and Santa Clara at Logan Field. The Broncos come to town for the final home series of the year May 1-3.
