LOS ANGELES - Seattle U women's soccer took care of business on the road, blanking Loyola Marymount, 2-0, Wednesday night in California. The Redhawks picked up a pair of goals in the first half and rode a standout defensive performance to the shutout victory.

Kyla Schuster gave the Redhawks the lead in the 15th minute when she netted her fourth goal of the season after being set up by Bella Bonnett and Sydnee Smith. Caroline Penner would double the advantage just over six minutes later with her 15th of the year, which moves her into a tie for 6th in the nation.

From there, Seattle U would ride a stellar defensive outing to the victory. Kassidy Kirgan was called on to make three saves, bringing her career shutout total to 17.

The victory moves the Redhawks to 9-3-6 on the season and to 5-3-2 in conference play. They will look to close out the 2025 regular season with their 10th win as they face San Diego on Saturday, Nov. 8. Kickoff for the finale is scheduled for 1:00pm PT.
