SEATTLE - Seattle U men's soccer battled to a 2-2 draw with Loyola Marymount Saturday night at Championship Field. The Redhawks built up a two-goal lead but could not hold on as both teams settle for a point.

Seattle U jumped out to a lead in the 13th minute when Patrick Kearney put home his second goal of the season off the assists from Alex Notzka and Yuta Toya. They would then double the lead before the break when Tai Iida scored his first goal in a Redhawk uniform at the 38 minute mark.

Coming out of intermission, it would be the Lions on the front foot. They scored their first of the match in the 54th, before equalizing just under four minutes later.

The draw moves the Redhawks to 3-6-6 on the season and to 1-3-3 in conference play. They will have a week to prepare for a road match vs I-5 rival and top 25 opponent in Portland on Saturday, Nov. 8. Kickoff between the Redhawks and Pilots is scheduled for 7:00pm PT.
