SEATTLE - Following a three game stretch within the greater Seattle area, Seattle University women’s basketball (1-2, 0-0 WCC) takes its game on the road for a 6:30 PM Tuesday night meeting with Fresno State (2-0, 0-0 MWC) at the Save Mart Center.

Graduate Ella Brubaker leads the Redhawks through three games, averaging 12.7 points per game on 41.9 percent shooting from the floor and 36.4 percent shooting from three. The transfer has scored in double digits in back-to-back contests, posting a season high 17 points in SU’s win over Northwest last Wednesday. Brubaker’s 12.7 PPG ranks top-15 in the WCC after the first week.

Also averaging in double digits is freshman Jana Vesic, who comes off a season high 17 points against UC Santa Barbara in her first collegiate start. The Serbian guard is averaging 11.7 points and 4.0 assists per game in three appearances. Her 4.0 assists per game ranks eighth in the conference through opening weekend.

Fellow freshman guard Dylan Mogel has also cracked the top-10 in the WCC in assists per game through the first week of action, averaging 3.7 a game in three starts. Mogel and three other Redhawks make up a quartet that have accumulated 1.3 steals a game in three appearances, with Sydnie Rodriguez, Aaliyah Ibarra and Lucy Larson all matching the freshman in average steals.

Redshirt senior Tamia Stricklin sits third on the team, posting 7.7 points per game after three starts while shooting 40 percent from the field. The Renton native ranks first on the team and sixth in the conference in rebounds per game, grabbing 7.7 on average after the first week of play. Brubaker ranks second on the team with 5.5 rebounds per game.

The Redhawks combined for 70 field goals and 13 triples through last week while hitting 25 makes from the charity stripe. They’ve averaged 7.7 steals, 10.7 assists and 36 rebounds a game.

Seattle U moves to 1-2 on the season after splitting contests at home. The Redhawks head to Fresno in pursuit of their first road victory while looking to bounce back into the win column. The Bulldogs and Redhawks meet for the third time in program history. Fresno State holds the series edge 2-0 dating back to 1984. The pair last met in 2012. That season, the Redhawks traveled to Fresno, falling by ten.

Fresno State is 2-0 to start the season, defeating Fresno Pacific and CSU Bakersfield. The Bulldogs finished last season 19-15 with a run to the Mountain West Tournament Semifinal before falling to Wyoming. They are 1-0 to start the 2025-26 season at home.

Following the quick road trip, the Redhawks return home to host Cal Poly on Saturday, November 15.
