REDHAWK HEADLINES
SERIES HISTORY
The Redhawks are 2-0 all-time vs the Broncos. The two sides last met in 2017, a 5-2 victory for SU at Championship Field.
LAST TIME OUT
Seattle U picked up their first ever win in the West Coast Conference when they defeated Pacific, 5-2, last Saturday in Seattle. Four different Redhawks scored, and they got another from an own goal in the biggest offensive output of the season.
REDHAWKS UNBEATEN IN CALIFORNIA
Seattle U is 1-0-3 in California this season and are averaging two goals per game in the Golden State. The last loss for the Redhawks in California came last season in a conference match with San Diego State.
CONFERENCE DOMINATION
Seattle U has lost just one conference regular season match over the past three seasons, stretching between the WAC and WCC. Their lone loss was the match at San Diego State in 2024.
UNBEATEN STREAK REACHES 5
After starting the season with a record of 0-3-2 in their first five matches, the Redhawks are now 3-0-2 in their last five. They have scored 16 goals in the current unbeaten run.
FROM THE WAC TO THE WCC
The 2025 season will be the first for the Redhawks in the West Coast Conference after spending the last 13 in the Western Athletic Conference. Seattle U won a combined 10 conference championships between regular season and tournament, and posted a record of 83-19-14 during their time in the WAC. Their win total and conference championships are both conference records.
CONTRIBUTIONS ALL AROUND
11 different Redhawks have found the back of the net in the 2025 season, with Yeider Zuluaga, Lars Thorne-Thomsen, and River Stewart having multiple goals.
ZULUAGA IN THE RANKINGS
Yeider Zuluaga is tied for 2nd in the WCC in goals (6) and points (17), while also coming in at 3rd in assists (5). He has already set personal career highs for goals and points in a season and needs one more assist to break his high mark set last season.
LANPHIER’S GLOVE WORK
Goalkeeper Charlie Lanphier leads the WCC in saves with 37 and is tied for third in clean sheets with four. His 14 career shutouts rank 4th all-time in program history, and he sits five away from tying Shane Haworth (2011-15) for the program lead.
4th FOR THE NEWCOMERS
Seattle U came in a tie for 4th place in the Preseason WCC Coaches Poll, level with San Francisco. San Diego, last season’s conference winner, was picked 1st, followed by Oregon State and Portland. The Redhawks also received votes in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 preseason poll.
