SEATTLE – As Seattle University basketball prepares to launch its inaugural season as a member of the West Coast Conference, Redhawk fans will experience several exciting updates to the gameday experience beginning with the men's season opener on Monday, Nov. 3. From new entry procedures and concession options to enhanced security measures, the changes are designed to create a smooth, enjoyable experience for all guests attending men’s and women’s basketball games at the Redhawk Center.

Clear Bag Policy
Seattle University has implemented a clear bag policy for all men's and women's basketball home games this season. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and limit the number of items they bring to facilitate quicker entry.

Permitted Bags:

  • One (1) clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bag not exceeding 14" x 6" x 14"
  • One (1) small clutch purse or wallet no larger than 4" x 6" x 1.5" (not required to be clear)
  • Medically necessary items and diaper bags (child must be present) will be allowed upon inspection

Prohibited Bags:

  • Backpacks of any kind
  • Non-clear purses or bags larger than 4" x 6" x 1.5"
  • Tinted or colored bags, drawstring bags (unless clear), camera bags, luggage, or briefcases

Outside Food & Beverage Policy
Fans may continue to bring single-serving portions of outside food into the venue. Outside beverages are not permitted, with the exception of:

  • Empty reusable bottles (non-glass, up to 32oz)
  • Baby bottles or medical-related beverages
  • Unopened, soft-sided single-serve containers (such as juice boxes)

All reusable bottles must be empty upon entry, including ice.

Expanded Concession Offerings
Concessions are getting an upgrade this season! Fans can enjoy an expanded menu featuring the new Redhawk Dog, Philly Cheesesteak, and personal pizzas, alongside returning favorites such as pretzels, nachos and popcorn.

Seattle U is also partnering with local favorite Salt & Straw Ice Cream, offering individual servings of the beloved Portland-based brand’s signature flavors.

Updated Entry Points
In response to growing attendance and to improve guest flow, Seattle U has adjusted its entry procedures for the 2025-26 season:

  • General Public Entry
Guests will enter through the Porter Pavilion 2nd level doors on the northwest corner of the Redhawk Center. Access is available via the ramp near 14th Ave. and E Cherry St., or the stairs at the base of the Pavilion.
  • (NEW) Student Entry
A new, dedicated student entrance is located on the 2nd level off E Cherry St., a short walk from the corner of 14th Ave and E Cherry St. The student entry will close once ingress slows after tip-off.
