IRVINE, Calif. - Danielis Kvederis has been named the Big West Swimmer of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday. Kvederis added three top 10 entries in the program record book during last week's meet with Puget Sound.
"I am so proud of Danielis," Head Coach Joe Dykstra said. "Not just for earning this deserved award, but for continuing to work really hard every day to make both himself and the team as a whole better."
He moved into 2nd in the 1000 with a finish of 9:25.32 and was also on the 200 Freestyle (1:21.59) and Medley (1:29.48) relay teams that both placed 6th in the record book.
Kvederis joins teammate Brendan Ryan as Redhawks named to the conference's weekly honor, with Ryan being named during the week ending on Oct. 5.
The Redhawks will be back in the pool on Friday, Nov. 21, when they compete in the two-day Northwest College Invitational in Boise.
