SPOKANE, Wash. - Seattle U women's soccer dropped their road meeting with Gonzaga, 2-3, Saturday night. The Redhawks took an early two-goal advantage but could not hold on to the lead as they dropped the in-state matchup.

Kailee Wilson would get the scoring started early, cleaning up a rebound off a saved Caroline Penner shot in the 4th minute. Penner would still get her goal however, as she rocketed her 10th goal of the season home in the 12th minute.

Despite the hot start offensively, Seattle U would not be able to find another goal on the night. This opened the door for Gonzaga to score three unanswered, including two in the second half, as the Redhawks suffered defeat for the first time in six matches.

The loss drops SU to 7-3-6 on the season and to 3-3-2 in WCC play. They will look to bounce back when they host Oregon State on Saturday, Nov. 1.
